    December 2010

As we approach the end of another year, we want to tell you how grateful we are that you have shared your children with us. That is the best gift we could ever receive and we look forward to moving ahead to 2011 with you.

Thanks to those of you who sold candles. Our classrooms made just over $500.00 profit which will be used for a special item in their classroom. Thanks also to those of you who have purchased items for our classroom or donated some gently used toys, stroller and paper products. We really appreciate the help and try to keep our costs down by accepting these items and using them in our classes. Our highest seller was the Sullivan family with over $200.00 in sales. They will get a 50% reduction on childcare this week.

Our toddler teacher, Debbie had surgery today to correct a chronic problem she has had. She tried to do without the surgery, but could not wait any longer. Cards may be sent to Debbie Calhoun at South Shore Hospital rte. 18 in Weymouth, Ma. or you may leave them here and we will mail them to her house. She is recovering and her surgery went well. We expect her back in late Jan. or early Feb. In the meantime, as you have noticed, Nicole has returned to Cranberry Crossing. Nicole will be with us till Debbie gets back or until the birth of her daughter.

HELP WANTED: SANTA or MRS CLAUSE. Could you visit us on a Tuesday or Thursday morning and an M W or F, morning in the next 2 weeks? Please see Bobbi or Lynne with your availability. We have a suit, but no one to wear it.

As we did not get an MPG family this year, we are sponsoring a child from our center. He is 2 yrs. old and wears a size 4. He loves books, music, balls and trucks. He could use any clothing item for this winter including hats and mittens. They may be wrapped and noted as to the contents. Thank you.

Lynne’s class is invited to come to our Santa Secret workshop on Thur.12/16 at 6:00-7:30 PM. The children will buy items with their own money. The cost of the items will be .01 –.25 cents. They should be doing chores and be helpful at home to earn money for their “bank”. We are looking for donations which could be old jewelry, knick knacks, nuts and bolts, dog or cat toys or biscuits or some things you have laying around, but will never use are great. Please see Lynne. You are welcome to come back at 7:20 to hear our Christmas songs.

We are Closed 12/24 and 12/31 to celebrate the holidays.

There are no 9-12 or 9-1 preschool classes from 12/24 to Dec.31st.

Tax copies will be available soon, let us know if you need one.

Have a Happy and Healthy Christmas and New Year.

Bobbi, Lynne and all the staff of Cranberry Crossing.
