September 2013 Newsletter
Welcome to our new school year. We are happy to see so many new children making friends with the children who have been here. We are so fortunate to once again, have such a wonderful group of parents and children. The school year started smoothly with 3 bus pick-ups and drop offs everyday. We appreciate the generosity of our parents in donations of tissues, disinfectant wipes and other supplies which we never seem to have enough of. We would also like to thank the Jones family for the wonderful car seats and the Slavin’s for a beautiful stroller. Please keep us in mind when your children have outgrown items or toys, which are still in good condition. Donations are GREAT.
Picture Day is Tuesday, Oct. 15th. The photographer typically starts at 9:00 AM with the infants/ then toddlers – 3’s and 4-5’s. If your child does not attend on Tuesday and you want their picture done, or want them included in their class picture, please check with his/her teacher for the time and come by. We make every effort to do our pictures outside, weather permitting. If you would like to send in a change of clothing for after pictures, we will be happy to get your child changed.
We will be sadly saying good-bye to Miss Jen and her daughter Abby Rose at the end of the month. Jen lives over an hour away and with school and her part time job, it has become too much of a commute. We are interviewing toddler teachers at this time. Please welcome Kyle Morse who has started in the 3-4 year old classroom as an assistant teacher.
Please take home your child’s summer clothing and sun screen and replace the clothing with weather appropriate choices. Be sure to include extra socks and underwear.
Most of the tuition contracts have been returned. If yours has not, please do so immediately. Reminder, if you would like to keep your debit/CC on file in the office, to be run on the same day every week, please see Bobbi. I have several on file and it seems to be helpful to parents to not have to stop and make payments weekly. All children also need updated paperwork for the DEEC as well as pictures for their files. Tina will let you know if you are missing anything.
The Toddler 2 and 3-4 year classrooms are PEANUT and EGG FREE on Mondays and Wednesday. Please do not send in these products with your child’s lunch.
Our first annual parent board meeting will be on Tuesday Oct. 8th at 6:30 PM. If you would like to join this year, we would truly appreciate it and look forward to seeing you then.
We are planning a visit from the Carver Fire Dept. For the first week of October. More information to follow.
