    November News 2010

We are sorry to report that due to the onset of some medical issues and other personal obligations, Lindsay, is no longer able to work in our 3 year old classroom. The children enjoyed her art and hair do’s and her son Rilee was a friend to all the 3 -4 -5 year olds. We wish her and Rilee the best. We are happy to say that Erin Stathopoulus has agreed to come back to work here 2-3 days a week and will be a great asset to the 3-4 year old class. Some of you may remember Erin from the Infant room, where she worked for many years.

November has arrived with quite a chill and a lot of rain. Please be sure children are dressed for out door play when the weather dries out. Please label everything as many children have the same outfits.

We are open Thursday 11/11, but there is no preschool (9-1 or 9-12) class that day. If you pay for preschool by the month, this would mean your child has no school. Please refer to the calendar we gave you at the beginning of the year as to your child’s no school days and please remember we did not charge you for any of the scheduled closures.

The toddlers are opening a grocery store and we would appreciate your donations of empty boxes (cereal – pasta etc.) empty laundry or plastic containers and any items you may think of to expand our grocery store. We are learning about healthy food choices, giving thanks and the holidays. The toddler class is also sending home a meal recommendation sheet for your picky eaters. We are throwing away so much food every day and feel with some easy substitutes your child will eat better and not waste your money on uneaten lunches.

Thanks so much to the parents who have donated paper products including tissues and paper towels. We really appreciate it. Also to the secret Santa who has left goodies for each classroom in the office over the past several weeks. Also to those of you who supply our parties and cooking projects so generously – we know who you are and are grateful that you are a part of our “family”. Also to the Maddens who are donating a Ball Pit for our toddler class. We are always looking for gently used toys – you can imagine how fast we go through things and need to offer new choices constantly. Please think of us when cleaning that closet – or shopping for new toys. We would also appreciate small donations for our Secret Santa store. Don’t forget the family pets. More info to follow

Reminder – we need a current picture f every child for their file.

We are closed 11/25 and 11/26 for Thanksgiving. If you need a shopping night – let us know and we will staff with movie – activity – light supper and bedtime stories 6-9:30PM. $15.00 per child or 2 for $28.00.

We are looking for a helper 2 night or 2 early mornings for about an hour of cleaning including floor washing and vacuuming. Tues. and Thurs. after 5:30 PM or before 6:30 AM. We will gladly credit your tuition for the hours you help out.

We will be holding a First Aid Class soon. If you are interested in joining us, see Bobbi or Lynne.

We wish you all a health and Happy Thanksgiving

or login.
