Welcome – to Cranberry Crossing's summer programs. We are so happy your child is here and look forward to a fun filled summer of exploration and activities. Many children are preparing to go to kindergarten or to move to older classrooms, so we are introducing and reinforcing all the goals necessary to make that a smooth transition. Please ask if you have any questions about your child’s classroom or if they will be moving. If your child will be moving, please familiarize yourself by meeting the teachers and understanding the goals and plans for that classroom. The Pre-K teachers will be available 7/27 @ 6:30 pm to talk to you about their classroom. If your child will be 4 by Sept.1, they will probably be moving to the upstairs classroom by Sept. 1.
Your contract for Sept. 2010 will be prepared soon. If you anticipate any changes for September in your schedule, please let us know so we can prepare your contract and rates correctly. Remember if your school age/kindergarten child will get on or off the bus here, you must notify the school in writing. They must get on or off the same stop 5 days a week. So on here, off home or on and off here will be fine as long as it is every day. Send your letters to the principal’s office at the GJC or EKW schools.
PLEASE SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY BEFOSCHOOL.
Please be sure your child has an extra set of clothing. If we do water play, or they have an accident or spill – they must have extra clothing here. They also all need a sheet for their cot at restime.
Lunches – if you send in Easy Mac – it must be prepared at home and put in a thermos. Same for hot dogs etc. We do not mind heating up but do not have time to cook meals and make your child wait while everyone else is eating. We gladly provide drinks, but the children may bring in a labeled water bottle for outside.
Join us again in welcoming Summer Earle and Shawn Slavin. Their families had these beautiful new additions this weekend and we are so happy for them.
The upstairs children need a large bar of ivory soap next week. Show & Tell is dinosaurs & souvenirs. Please send in a permission slip for your school age child to attend field trips such as a movie, library etc. with Robin.
Thank you to Jillian’s papa, John and Ruby’s dad, Matt for setting up the second Gazebo. Also thanks to Ian’s mom Tracey for making the new covers. The infant/toddlers really appreciate them. Also thanks to the families who have donated freeze pops and a beautiful fruit basket for us. We truly appreciate your generosity.
