Lots going on this time of year staring with – This week is teacher appreciation week. Thanks to your parent board – each teacher was present ed with a long stem pink rose on Monday.
Tuesday: 5/5 – Cinco de Mayo – the children in the 3, 4, 5, 6’s will enjoy tacos and all the fixings to celebrate.
Wed. May 13th – upstairs – Mothers Day Ice tea
Also on May 13- Digi Kids child identification team will be here for your child. Please fill out the forms sent home and return with payment by Wed. 5/13.
The last week of May –St. Jude’s Trike a Thon.
The children will be given assigned days to bring their bikes. The sponsor sheets have gone home, and we will send home the number of laps after the ride. All checks may be made out to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
Monday May 25th – Memorial Day - Closed
Wed. June 4th Our Annual Field trip and Pirate Cruise.
Permission slips attached or in your child's file. All children are invited and we welcome and need many chaperones. The cost is $11.00 per person for the cruise.
Bus ? cost as yet. If you choose not to send your child on the cruise, please make other arrangements for care that day as all the teachers from the 3-4 year old and the 5-6 year old class will be out on the field trip.
June 10th last day MWF classes. June 11th Last day T/Thur classes. June 4th is the make up day for the 3/2 snow day.
Sadly, we will be saying good bye to Keira on 6/12. Keira has decided to return to school full time and continue to work at Chili’s. She will be greatly missed by all the children.
We have a great summer in the plans and will give you a calendar before school ends for our 9-1 and 9-12 classes.
We welcome your child to attend on an on call basis or you may schedule specific days to be guaranteed a spot. Your child may come in 9-1 or a full day.
Ticks are everywhere – please have your child wear a hat and check them nightly. Ticks like to burrow and can cause problems if not removed. Please feel free to apply bug repellent to your child prior to their arrival and also sunscreen. If you leave a labeled bottle here, we will apply it later in the day again.
The Carver emergency management agency has notified us that that in the event of an emergency our new relocation center is the Tinsley center at BSC – no longer the Burnell School. Maps will be provided when we get them.
