Family Portraits at Nelsons Beach
Saturday April 1
We will be sending home a flyer soon to give you more information about a Family Portrait Package at Nelson’s Beach. We have set up the date of April 1 and hope for great weather. If not we will take the pictures here at Cranberry Crossing. The appointments will start at 10:00AM and continue throughout the day to try to photograph as many families as are interested. We need a minimum of 10 families to participate and leave a $10.00 (non refundable) deposit which will be used towards your picture package. We chose this date to be assured that the pictures will be back in time for Mother’s Day as this would make a perfect gift for everyone on your list. Each family will be given 20 minutes for their photo session. Information cards regarding what to wear and other photo tips will be given to you with your deposit.
Box Tops
Thank you for your continued donations to the box tops for education. We get 10 cents for every box top you send in. Our last check was for $70.00 with which we purchased a DVD player and additional stencil dies for our classrooms. We have one more date – April 15 – to send in box tops for this school year, so please check your cartons at home and send them in.
Private Kindergarten
Cranberry Crossing will be offering a private kindergarten program for children 4.9 by 9/1/06. After successful completion of the private kindergarten program, your child may be eligible to enter first grade in September of 2007. We must have at least 10 children sign up for the program, with 15 children the maximum, to provide a separate classroom, curriculum and their own teacher. The sessions will include curriculum based on DOE recommendations and will cover Carver and surrounding towns. Plymouth is the only neighboring town I am aware of that will not accept 5 year olds into first grade even if they attend private kindergarten. At this time, Carver, Middleboro, Plympton and other surrounding towns will. Let us know if you’re interested. Remember your referral of any child who registers with us gives you at $25.00 tuition credit.
