April 2005 Newsletter
Thank you for your wonderful response to our bookfair. We sold over $500.00 in books which allowed each class to purchase many new books for their classrooms.
Also, thank you to the seven families who raised donations for our mini march for cystic fibrosis. Seven children raised a total of $305.00 which was sent to cystic fibrosis today.
Kindergarten registration dates were in the Carver Reporter this week and will be on May 2, 4, 6 and 16 by appointment. Carver children turning 5 on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to enroll. Call 508-866-6210 for an appointment.
Also in the Carver Reporter you’ll find the 2005 Best of South Shore Ballot. Please include Cranberry Crossing as best daycare when you send in your form. We appreciate your support.
Our summer camp schedule is being finalized and we hope that your child will enjoy many weeks of summer fun with us. The camps this year will again include Baseball, Soccer, Cooking, Music, Dance, Art and Woodworking. We are working on more. If you have any ideas, please let us know. All full year children will participate in all camps and preschool children are invited to sign up for any or all camps. More info will follow.
Please keep June 6 on your calendar. We’ll need many chaperones for our second annual pirate cruise field trip. Children 3-6 are invited. Cost and more information to follow. All children will be transported by Bus to Plymouth – starting at Nelson’s beach for lunch and play then dividing for 2 afternoon pirate cruises before we return to Cranberry Crossing.
Special days are being planned for April Vacation week. Each class will send home a calendar of events. The 3/4 year olds may take a field trip to the library and playground on 4/22 weather permitting. We will need your permission and a car seat. The permission slip will be sent home next week.
Please let us know your summer plans and your requests for September childcare as soon as possible by contacting the office (866-2400).
Your child must have a small bag or back pack for their rest items. Nothing should loose in their cubbies as it is unsanitary and unsightly. Please label their belongings and place them in a bag that will fit into their cubby.
Happy Spring! Please send in hats and sun block.
