May – 2004

We are finally enjoying some good weather and now have to face the ticks and other bugs of summer. Your child should have a baseball cap for the playground. You may also send in bug spray or cream. It is also not too early for sunscreen. Please label your child’s belongings and be sure their change of clothing is weather and season appropriate.

Welcome Conor Dahill and Jenny Traynor to our infant room. Congratulation to the Gorham’s who are expecting twin girls in September. We also congratulate the Callahan’s who expect a baby sister to join Chelsea this September.

Our annual field trip has its own cover letter and permission slip which has been sent home. Part of that information included the prices for Cranberry Crossing T-Shirts should any of our Infant or toddler group like to order one. XS is 4-6 and small is 6-8. The cost is $5.25 each. Please see Bobbi or Tina with your order.

Thank you to Jacob Panthos. He and his mom, Barbara has donated a Forsythia tree in honor of Arbor Day, April 30.

Our summer camp brochure will be ready for you soon. We have planned 10 weeks of camps and hope that you’ll let you child spend 1 or more weeks with us. T-ball, Soccer, cooking, woodworking and acting, art are just a few of the planned activities. Some weeks there will be an extra fee for the materials which we will let you know about in the brochure. You must schedule and pay for the camp a week in advance and we must have a minimum of 5 campers each week. Full day children will participate in all camp activities and will be notified of the material fee in advance. Some children will be moving to other classrooms this June while others will visit over the summer and make the move in September. Please see your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s moving. You will be notified personally of our plans and have time to come in and talk to your child’s teacher before any move is made permanent.

Although only a handful of children responded, we sent $315.00 to Easter Seals on our school’s behalf. Thank you to Devin and Angelina’s grandparents, Mary and Jack Williams for their generous contribution of $100.00 for Easter Seals.

Remember we are waiting for paint smocks and/or large T-Shirts. The children love messy projects and we need cover-ups.

June 12 – Saturday is the date of this years Family Day. Please keep the day free. Our parent board meets again next Monday, May 10th and would love your help and support planning this event. Please remember this is TEACHER APPRCIATION WEEK and Happy Mothers Day to all of our moms.
